Today’s UrthChild Giveaway: the “Emma” Jem of Mine Doll.
Emma 1

Don’t let this doll’s sweet name fool you. Emma *is* oh so sweet, but she’s also a little bit rock ‘n roll, with her wild curly red-streaked hair. Made exclusively for UrthChild, doll artist Emma from Jem of Mine Waldorf Dolls lovingly handcrafted this gorgeous Waldorf doll using the highest quality natural materials. Emma is clothed in a hand-sewn dress, with cotton underpants, and wool felt shoes. Her wool stuffing is naturally antibacterial and absorbs the smells of your home, making her a wonderful comfort toy. Emma is a free spirit your child will cherish for years to come.

  1. I look for comfort for myself and babe when buying a baby wearing item. I also need to be able to breastfeed while baby wearing.

  2. I love the Waldorf dolls,

now that I have a little girl I’ve been on the look out for a “special friend” for my little Lyla and these dollies are adorable…

  3. Gorgeous. What an exciting give-a-way!!!

Thanks for the link to the UrthChild site. I had not come across this site yet and it looks as though they have a number of products we love!

Also, love the notion of the new silk Moby wrap (we adore our old fashioned cotton wrap-so comfy for mom and cozy for baby). The silk is a perfect new mom gift.

And I just found you on Facebook- looking forward to seeing your upcoming work! Thanks, Ella

  5. I love all the nui clothing on the website (amongst many other items!) My middle daughter would love this doll! She always tells me she is a “baby lover”.

  6. These dolls are ADORABLE! All of them! My favorite item on the UrthChild website is definitely the Camden Rose Simple Hearth Wooden Play Kitchen. I’m trying to avoid getting my little cook a plastic kitchen for Christmas!

  7. I love the Waldorf dolls on this site. This is the one thing that I want to get my 2.5 year old daughter for the holidays in anticipation of a new baby coming in February. I can already see it in her baby sling. I also just “liked” UrthChild on Facebook.

  8. I love the camden rose simple hearth kitchen that you sell! Would also LOVE to be entered for the Jem of Mine doll Emma dor my youngest daughter! Thank you so much!!!

  9. Love the dolls, my youngest has been askking for a baby for the holidays! As far as baby wearing- something comfortable and easy to nurse:)Thank you

  10. My daughter keeps asking for a baby doll for chrismas, I think the one she keeps asking for cocha bella (IDK if this is right or not) I WISH I could afford to buy her the heavenly baby waldorf doll.

  11. I love these dolls!!! They are my favorite thing on the website. As for what I look for in a babywearing item, I look for comfort and cuddle-ability. I’ve also purchased carriers based on the color and ease of adjusting so I can share with my husband, and for the breathable fabric for summer months.

  12. Urth Child is one of my favorite sites so much wonderful stuff to choose from!! I think my favorite thing on the Urth Child site is the KinderKram Stable, it is beautiful, but I also love these dolls and I think my daughter would esp. love a doll :)

  13. My daughter and even my son, would love an Urthchild Waldorf doll! My husband and I are inspired to educate our children through Waldorf and Lifeways education :)

  14. Oh, what a beautiful doll! I guess one other thing I look for in babywearing items is that they are made/fabricated close to home, to encourage local businesses!

  15. I look for comfort when buying baby wearing. I need something easy to use, that isn’t going to kill my back in the process.

  16. i would love the Abeko PVC-free Jacket!

when it comes to baby wearing, i love how close i can wear my 3 month old in our snuggle wrap. i love how close she is and how safe she feels there. it’s so comfy too!

  17. I have to say I love all the Waldorf dolls! I have a redhead daughter with crazy hair! What a great website, I’m glad I saw the link.

  18. I plan on getting the OMI Eco-Wool Puddle Pad for my daughter’s bed while potty training. Protects the mattress without the chemicals of vinyl water proof covers.

My fav babywearing items are the snugglewrap for 0-5 months and then the ergo from then on!

  19. Ohhh what a luscious give away!!

my favorite item from the site is the trusty old Ergo carrier-I could not have gotten through the baby years with out it!

Thanks for the chance to win your beautiful Emma!

  20. I love the little wooden kitchen toys on the website, especially the little toaster! So cute! Id love to win the little Emma doll for my daughter because I’m a redhead! :)

  21. My son has a Leah urthchild doll and now I have a new baby that would just love one. My older son doesn’t want to give us Leah to share. Would love to win one, they are so beautiful!!

  22. I love this little doll. She looks just like my 4-year-old. I really like the wooden animals on the Urth Child website, especially the crocodile.

  23. These are too cute, I like Spencer but maybe because it looks like my boy. Also I love his space ship shirt, I have a bunch of that fabric in my stash and am going to make a quilt with it for my little one.

  24. So many yummy things on their site! Love Kate Quinn clothes and Plan Toys items to name but a couple, and I think I am going to order the Dress me Up Teething Bon Bon.

  25. And lastly, I love the Ergo baby carrier. It is the best if you have back issues and still want to carry your baby. I found the infant insert to be too much! A blanket worked just fine for us. We use it as a changing pad! Thanks for the opportunity!

  26. My favorite on Urth’s site is the Holztiger wooden animals. I grew up in Switzerland with ones just like them, but here it’s so hard to find them. Glad to see them around!

Oh, and I “liked” on FB.

  27. my fave item on the site it the Camden Rose simple hearth wooden play kitchen. wow, that’s a long name for a cute item! :) LOL!!

  28. I really like the Soft Star Shoes Phoenix Boots. If I didn’t already buy my daughter some winter boots, I would buy these ones. The fact that they are made out of leather and sheepskin, and are soft-soled yet hardwearing for winter is brilliant! I will definitely buy them for her next year.

  29. I LOVE the Emma doll! I am a red head and it looks like my daughter might be too (she still doesn’t have much hair yet at 7 months!) so Emma looks like the perfect doll for her to grow into. I also like the Grace doll — my daughter’s middle name! We are also huge fans of Sophie the Giraffe and wooden teethers in our home.

  30. My 3 year old wants a dollie for Christmas and Leah would be perfect. I’m daunted by all the plastic dolls out there!

  31. I love Emma!! My daughter and I have red hair and this doll is so wonderful. When shopping for babywearing gear I like to purchase something that holds my baby girl

next to my skin. I don’t like fabric between her belly and mine. I also like back/front capabilties and weather versatile items. I have 12 different babywearing packs/slings/wraps. My current gave is the Action baby carrier, love the sun shield!

Hope we win a waldorf doll! I’ve always wanted one for her!!

  32. My favorite item on Urth Child is the heavy baby waldorf doll. I like how it is scented with lavender and it’s heavy presence can calm a child. I think this is a wonderful idea for any child, especially those with sensory issues!

Emma could have a nice home with my daughter Penelope! :)

  33. I liked Urthchild on facebook. I don’t tweet, so I can’t follow Twitter. I love The products Urthchild has!! I love Waldorf too…

  34. These dolls are beautiful. My kids would love them. I think they are the best thing on the Urthchild website, but everything is awesome.

  35. I have 5 kiddos, I practically like everything on the website, but before I saw this, I have been shopping for hours looking at Waldorf style dolls.

    I really could use a doll~

I really like the Camden Rose Simple Hearth Wooden Play Kitchen~
