Increase Awareness About Midwives for National Midwifery Week

From Midwife.org:

National Midwifery Week is October 3–9, and  a great way to celebrate is by joining Team Midwife, a campaign by the American College of Nurse-Midwives to increase public awareness about the excellent care that midwives provide.

Many women have misconceptions about midwives or are unaware that midwives are available. Team Midwife aims to remedy this by communicating the value of midwifery care to the public, hospital administrators, and legislators.

With your membership, you’ll receive an exclusive monthly online newsletter featuring women’s health news and stories about amazing midwives, as well as a Proud Member badge for your Web site or blog. You can also follow Team Midwife on Facebook and Twitter to connect with other midwifery fans and share stories and news about midwives and women’s health. And you can share your birth story or other midwife experiences and read other women’s stories on Team Midwife’s new “Share” page.
