Earlier this week, we published an article about the most common New Year's Resolutions in the US and asked Mothering Members to share their own resolutions.

Taking suggestions from that conversation, and other related threads, we have compiled a list of the Top 10 New Year's Resolutions from Mothering Members. Here they are in no particular order.

Spend More Quality Time as a Family: play more with the kids, eat together, find ways to spend one on one time with spouse

Get Organized: declutter and organize the home, kitchen and personal spaces

Get More Exercise: commit to an exercise routine and stick to it

Learn Something New: a musical instrument, craft technique, foreign language or other long held dream or go back to school

Live More Frugally: meal planning, saving money on food, growing and canning more food, buying less, reusing more

Eat Better: eat more homegrown, local, and organic foods and accomplish personal nutrition goals

Honor Personal Dreams and Ambitions: giving permission to explore personal goals and take "me" time

Handle Home Improvements: finish current projects and take on new ones that will improve living conditions

Maintain Memories: organize scrapbooks and photo albums of family photographs

Create More from Scratch: food, crafts, clothes, diapers, gifts and everyday items
