The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and birds are chirping way too early in the morning. What does this all mean? Other than Spring, Easter and pollen allergies, it means Baby Shower season is here!
We know, every Baby Shower invitation these days comes with a web link to a shower registry. (Hey, we’re not complaining — it makes our lives that much easier!) That said, there is always something wonderful about getting a surprise gift.
If you’re looking to get some brownie points with the mama-to-be, consider throwing in one of these cute gifts to accompany that breast pump listed on her registry:
The Mothering & Breastfeeding Affirmation Deck is gorgeous — from the drawings and colors, to the words of wisdom and inspiration. Breastfeeding is the most beautiful and natural thing Mama and Baby share, and these cards will remind your mama-to-be of how special that bond truly is.
2. Milkmaid Goods, Nursing Ponchos: $34.95
These beautiful ponchos come in different patterns and colors, and they all have one thing in common — they are softer than your baby’s bum bum. When I put this poncho on, I couldn’t help but pet myself for 20 minutes straight. Oh, and Baby will love it too!
3. Chipolo Plus Key Ring: $24.99
We all know about Mama Brain: Where did I put my phone? Where did I put my keys? Where did I put my sanity? To combat pregnancy brain, get the mama-to-be in your life a Chipolo Plus key ring. In fact, get yourself one too. If you can’t find your phone, just call it with the Chipolo; if you can’t find your keys, call your Chipolo with your phone. This thing is genius!
4. Bambino Mio Reusable Swim Diaper: $11.40
Diaper tooshie is the cutest, especially when it’s in the form of a swim trunk. These reusable swim diapers are absolutely adorable! And they even come in PIRATE PRINT. Babies grow quickly, and in no time Mama will be vacationing with her little one, and she will be thankful for these baby swim trunks.
5. Baby Foot 1 Hour Treatment: $25
I swear by this exfoliating foot peel. One month ago, my feet looked like they belonged to a barefoot caveman — callouses galore! These plastic booties removed all that nasty skin. Your mama-to-be will be very thankful for this foot peel, which promises to make her feet as soft as her baby’s.
6. DreamPad Pillow: $149-$179
As a medically diagnosed insomniac, this pillow (I have the memory support one) is a miracle. Aside from being the most comfortable pillow I have ever slept on, it also converts music to gentle vibrations that only you can hear. My sleep has significantly improved. The pregnant lady in your life will thank you for this one.
7. First Footsteps Shoe Making Kit: $36
When I received this in the mail, the first sound to come out of my mouth was a high-pitched, “AWWWWWW.” This adorable shoemaking kit is the perfect baby shower gift. Mama can make her baby’s very first pair of walking shoes, and cherish them until Baby has his own baby. It’s super easy, and the package comes with a beautiful poem!
8. Hip Peas Products: $20
I love Hip Peas. These natural baby products are made with safe ingredients that you can feel good about when applying on your baby (and yourself). My personal favorite is the detangling spray, which I use on my stringy, tangly hair all the time.
9. Baby Jogger City Tour: $199.99
Yes, this is on the pricier end, so maybe only buy it if the mama-to-be is your BFF. This stroller is everything a city mom could dream of — it folds into a tiny little thing that you can carry like a backpack, and it unfolds into a badass stroller that your toddler can hop into. Babies grow fast, and this is a great thing to have on hand — especially if mama-to-be has a toddler already.
10. Tempaper Kids: $19.99
Okay, so traditionally we don’t give wallpaper as a baby shower gift. But when you see how gorgeous their kid’s line is, you’ll change your mind — their patterns include dinosaurs. galaxies, magical fairy lands and dragons! Just tell mama-to-be that you’ll buy her $100 worth of any kiddie wallpaper she desires!
