Join the March for Midwives on May 5th!

On May 5th, in celebration of the International Day of the Midwife and just days before Mother’s Day, thousands of people from around the world will come together for the Global March for Midwives.

No matter where you are, you can help bring attention to the needless death of mothers and their babies, and the heroes working to save their lives. You’ll be part of the International Confederation of Midwives’ call to action, joining a coaltion of supporters working to improve maternal and newborn health.

Join us, and commit to walking 5 kilometers on May 5th to support these heroes!

Walk for a midwife you know, a new mom, or a baby safely delivered. Walk on your own or with a group. And share your story about why you’re walking with an online community of supporters dedicated to ending the scourge of pregnancy-related deaths.

That evening, there will be a benefit concert at Gone Wired Cafe from 6-9 pm, sponsored by Friends of Michigan Midwives. Find details here!! http://www.friendsofmichiganmidwives.com/events.htm
