Lemon Syllabub
Take a trip back to the 18th century with this elegant dessert whipped up with lemon and white wine.
1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup white wine
1/8 cup fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Lemon slices for garnish
In a chilled bowl, whip together the cream and sugar until it begins to thicken. Slowly add the white wine, lemon juice and lemon zest. Continue whipping until cream is light and fluffy. Cover and chill until serving in chilled parfait glasses. Garnish with a dash of nutmeg, mint and a lemon slice, and serve.
