Before I even read the caption for this photograph below, I knew it had to have been taken in the 1940s. How is a mother supposed to bond with her baby by breastfeeding when it's in another room?

seperating mom from babe after birth is cruel unless it is life of death situation, the only thing infants know is thier mothers, voice, heartbeat and LOVE, babies need to bond and seperation caused stress to both mom and child, seeing things like this makes me wonder how unevolved we were/are, i guess we are begining to progress, slowly!!!!

And look how checked-out the baby looks. They probably thought of it as peacefully sleeping but he looks stressed to me. Thanks to people like Nils Bergman, we now know about the elevated stress hormones in babies treated like this.
