The Cloth Diaper Donation Experiment Unfolds...

“I wanted to thank you for being my cloth diaper match maker! M. sent her diaper stash so quickly. She organized and labled everything…basically made it fool proof for me, so we were able to get started right away. My daughter has now been in cloth diapers full time for the past 4 days and we love everything about it. We will never go back to disposable again!

This was a great idea you had, and I think it’s going to help so many families. My family appreciates this gift very much…Thank you!!”

-M.

It’s been really inspiring and fulfilling to connect mamas in need with mamas who have cloth diapers to pass on. 34 moms have donated cloth diapers to almost 40 moms! I still have a growing list (26+) of mamas in need and I hope any moms who have diapers to donate will seize the day and send me an email (candacew@mothering.com).

Please let me know the sizes and any other information–but if you only have a few seconds to spare, don’t worry about getting too deep with description.

Thank you thank you thank you!

I would love to start CD and then pass on what I have if I could be put on your list to receive. I can not afford to start CD on my own.
How does one get involved in this, I am hoping to start CDing but have been buying 1 or 2 cloth diapers a paycheck to try and build what we can of a stash. We just don't have the money to spend up front right now, but we really want to make the switch!
wondering if any mama's out there will actually use flannel squares to diaper their babies? I've added some to our stash as well and amazingly they aren't as fiddly as I thought.
Hi, please include me on your list. I am fully committed to CD'ing my new peanut coming in August, but I cannot afford to make the initial purchase. Thanks!
We want to get started with cloth as soon as we can, but to be able to do it we just had to pay to have a w/d connection installed in our apartment and had to purchase a stackable unit to fit into the small area we had open. Since we are a one income family, this purchase took quite a bit from our budget. Now we have to start saving all over again for the diapers. Any help getting our CD stash started would be greatly appreciated! Our LO is almost 6 months & around 15lbs. Thank you! What a wonderful program!
I would love to participate as well. We were cloth diapering our 15 month old, but her diaper covers that were given to us fell apart. We also have another due in August, and my husband starts college in August, and we have to unexpectedly move by the end of July. So, right now we really have no money to get the two babes the diapers they need! Thank you so much for offering this service. I am sure it will help a lot of mamas out there.
I've been blessed to have been matched up with an amazing woman who is donating diapers for my DD. We'd really like to CD our toddler as well so if there are mamas out there willing to donate some large CDs we'd greatly appreciate it!
Our second child is partially cloth-diapered, but we've never been able to afford all the diapers we need to solely use cloth. I'm expecting, due in December, and would love to have enough diapers for this one, so we'll never have to buy disposables again! .-= April´s last blog ..Why I Am Passionate About the Topics of NFP and Conraception =-.
I am looking to trade: I have 8 size small thirsties covers in excellent condition, I need to trade for medium or large covers. Thanks!
I just got my stash together and it's all ready to ship off to Melissa. Thanks for connecting us with each other! :D
What I don't get is the mom's saying they have babies coming months from now, and they can't afford the initial set up. put away $5 a week and you may not be able to afford a FULL stash right off the bat, but enough to save you in disposables, which in turn will give you more money to build up the cloth stash. You also can start small and just do a bit more laundry. Generosity is great, all for it, and willing to donate mine when my son outgrows his, but you can also work to help yourself.
I am due in July and we are so short on money right now. I'd love to cloth diaper this baby, but the start up costs are so much! I would love to participate in this if I can still? What an awesome program!
Please let me know how to get on the donation wait list. I am using 4 Fuzzibunz one size right now and love them. Would love to CD full-time and not have to wash them twice daily. Thanks! Valerie
I just want to say thank you so much for doing this. I was matched up today with a donator and we can't wait to get started CD'ing! Also, thanks a million to our donator, Autumn, we really appreciate this!
I've really been interested in cloth diapering, but, I just can't afford to start up. I have an 8 week old, who is about 12lbs.
Hi! I am Amber and I have a 6 and a half month old daughter named Kyra! I really wanted to cloth diaper but cant afford to buy everything right now. She is a little over 16 pounds!
This is an awesome idea. If there are still mama's donating, I'd love some supplies. :D We really don't have the money to spare to get a stash going. I've used recieving blankets in the orgami fold already and don't mind that at all. So flats would be fine. I'd like to try something easier if possible. :D I've never used snappies, but I don't mind that either. :D My child is 26 lbs and if it matters she's 33 in. I'd like something that I can use for a long time. And ANY instructions you can give me would be appreciated. If you need more info email me at Irishewwie@yahoo.com
Would really like to start CD'ing my 21 month old, but can't afford them, any help would be much appreicated x
I really wanted to try and cloth diaper with G diapers but cannot afford it all at once! My daughter was just born on Sunday weighing 6lbs so I am looking for small diapers!
I have a little boy [13 lbs] and a girl [22 lbs]. Anything is fine with me.
