Vaccination is a medical procedure that carries a risk of injury or death. As a parent, it is your responsibility to become educated about the benefits and risks of vaccines in order to make the most informed, responsible vaccination decisions. As someone living in California (despite being a Dr.) you have probably heard hospitals and parents concern about their infant contracting and dying of whooping cough. I am wondering your opinion and input about the idea of requesting that anyone that wants to come into your home/around your baby be vaccinated against the whooping cough? I have a healthy two month old and come from a family who strongly objects to today's vaccines. My husband is a by the book kind of guy, and we are compromising in that I have agreed to vaccinate but want to delay most if not all until she is over 1 year old, and then space them out. June 3, 2010 The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) joins with holistic health pioneer Dr. Joseph Mercola in calling for Merck to voluntarily recall its live rotavirus vaccine - RotaTeq – which is contaminated with parts of a lethal virus that infects pigs - porcine circovirus 2 (PCV2) - and publicly pledge to clean-up the vaccine. My son, now 19 months, has shown reactions to the DTaP shot after his 6 month and 9 month appointment, including fever and slight "head tremors". I expressed concern to my doctor after hearing more information about severe reactions to immunizations. At my son's 12 month appointment he received the DT instead of the DTaP. That evening, he developed a fever and was terribly unhappy. He is due for another round of shots and I am concerned to give him anything else. Hello Dr Rubin, As far as you know, are there any non-invasive tests that can show a pre-disposition to autism that would be brought out by vaccinations? Anything in the area of BioFeedack devices?
