I know we have photo threads periodically, but I never seem to have good, recent photos when we do that. I do, now, and they're all in one spot, so I'm starting a thread!

Here they all are.

Yeah, too bad he's such an anti-social little butt.
:

I mean - we risked DH's considerable wrath to save him from starving and freezing to death, got him dewormed, deflea'd, love him, play with him, meet all his needs and then some. Heck - I learned to KNIT just so I could make him a felted pi bed ... and he IGNORED it.

The little pisser could show some gratitude, y'know?

Well, on the upside, at least he didn't PEE on it, as Sevyn did with the bed I bought for him to welcome him into the pride.

i'm still working on our kitty pi's (well, "working on" in the sense that occasionally when i'm excavating my yarn stash i see the bag they're in and think "oh, i should really finish those" and then immediately ignore them
) and i think ours would react about the same way.

aren't cats great?
(or maybe i'm just bitter that sophie coughed up a big nasty hairball on the guest bed
)

Cornflake, our one eyed rescued baby. The most loving cat in the world, and keeper of the yarn

He also makes a great pillow for little ones

http://pic15.picturetrail.com/VOL568.../185554260.jpg

And he is a professional kitten cuddler

Next up are our two rescued kittens, CocoaPuffs and BooBerry.

Misc. Cuteness:

http://pic15.picturetrail.com/VOL568.../208041345.jpg
http://pic15.picturetrail.com/VOL568.../283910580.jpg

We lucked out that our cats love each other. Cornflake was an only cat for so long, but when we found the kittens abandoned we had to keep them. Cornflake is a very good Daddy, he gives them a bath every day and grooms them

And here is my furniece, Callie *the closest thing I will get to a niece in a long time, if my BIL wont give me any human nieces and nephews

I did catch Sammy the ONE time he actually tried out the pi. Now my brother's grateful kitties have it - and they love it.

We had the most beautiful little stray in our yard the other day. I heard yowling, and upon investigating I saw a lovely young cat, white with orange tabby markings and a magnificent striped tail, crying with hunger and apparently lost (or abandoned).
I went out to see if it had a collar. Poor little thing was wet and cold, with a big bare patch of skin behind one ear absolutely crawling with mites and fleas. Although it looked relatively clean and fed otherwise, there was no collar - and that buggy patch made me want to cry.
Once it realized I wasn't going to hurt it, the kitty came right over and started loving all over me. I stepped back into the house wishing I'd never seen the poor little thing, b/c I knew I couldn't do anything to help it. DH - who dislikes all things feline with the white hot passion of a thousand suns - didn't speak to me for two weeks after we took Sammy in. I hope the sweet little thing has (or finds) a decent home, somewhere.

Can I tell you all that I'm dying of cuteness over here?!
Makes me remember tonight how special and amazing our furry family members are. Our old cat died in the fall. And soon after we adopted two of the BEST little cat souls EVER. Don't have pics available, but I'll work on it...

All of your animals are beautiful.

Okay, I'll play!

Five pets, one photo ... I think I should win an award for that:
http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s...t=DCP_3419.jpg

German Shepherd Shiloh in front, on the couch are Hiva-Hiva, Ngagi, Zoe and Zamu Mkubwa. The two blacks and one orange are brothers from one of our foster mamas. The tabby is adopted.

And one of our foster mamas with her beautiful kittens, all grown and adopted now:
http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s...t=DSCN0651.jpg

We specialized for years in pregnant mama cats - our local shelters would foster them with us until the kittens were old enough to be put up for adoption. Mama would also get fixed and adopted. It was wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time. Then our own human baby came along, and we have only had one litter since then - they require far more attention than we can give them now, but I look forward to the day when we can get back into it and the kids can help.
