I did catch Sammy
the ONE time he actually tried out the pi. Now my brother's grateful kitties have it - and they love it.

We had the most beautiful little stray in our yard the other day. I heard yowling, and upon investigating I saw a lovely young cat, white with orange tabby markings and a magnificent striped tail, crying with hunger and apparently lost (or abandoned).
I went out to see if it had a collar. Poor little thing was wet and cold, with a big bare patch of skin behind one ear absolutely crawling with mites and fleas. Although it looked relatively clean and fed otherwise, there was no collar - and that buggy patch made me want to cry.
Once it realized I wasn't going to hurt it, the kitty came right over and started loving all over me. I stepped back into the house wishing I'd never seen the poor little thing, b/c I knew I couldn't do anything to help it. DH - who dislikes all things feline with the white hot passion of a thousand suns - didn't speak to me for two weeks after we took Sammy in. I hope the sweet little thing has (or finds) a decent home, somewhere.
