I think you've gotten some great suggestions. I also love the crockpot and you CAN use non crockpot recipes in it. And it's great for just reheating and keeping warm. So if you made a soup, keep it in there so it's ready when you are....
Are you all rinsing with straight vinegar? You only need a little mixed with water. I probably use one part vinegar to 6 parts water. That's a guess, but it's not much.  Maybe that accounts for the smell?

Even if I skim my milk, it will still be creamy and fatty. So I guess I would need to avoid it except in fat meals.  :(   Any thoughts on Kombucha?  No during Phase I, probably.  But after that?
Hmmmm....interesting.  I've looked into it some.   Some things are very different for my way of thinking (I am so used to making sure my carbs have some fats with them!), but the last phase, which is supposed to help...
Unless it's JUST after I step out of the shower AND one of my kids gave me a hug, I've never had anyone comment on the smell.  I don't think it smells of vinegar at all.
We had 'em in 2008 but haven't heard of ANYONE since then!
