I recommend taking
I stock up on it every year and give to my friends when they start having symptoms. Because I'm pregnant, I've been taking it if I'm around people with the flu. I've never gotten the flu shot.
In my state, we are not required to vaccinate our cats, but we are our dogs. I don't vaccinate my cat at all. (I don't have a dog). I go to my vet, who is holistic, she does acupuncture, herbal, homeopathic, nutrition, etc. She's absolutely the best. I took my cat to see her last time, she was miserable, with history of sinus issues, and she recently had rodent virus which made her lips all funky looking. My vet took one look at her, and stated, Stop feeding her chicken,...
One thing I keep in my bag is oscillococcunum. (I'm not sure how to spell it). I also tend to stock up on other homeopathic remedies as well. And, taking lots of the Emergen-C packets.
(I'm pregnant, and I started taking Vit. D in liquid, found out my potassium wasn't high enough to absorb Vit. D. Make sure you have plenty of potassium. Some signs of low potassium included water retention, heart palpitations and muscle cramping!)
Yes! I get this a lot. People are like, OMG you're due in February? You are so huge! I am actually pretty proud of this, strangely enough. Although, I mentioned to my life partner that it really could be any day now, because it is possible to give birth 30 days prior or after the due date. My doula confirmed this for us today and stated that at 33w, if I gave birth tomorrow, It'd be considered a full term baby. I have a feeling that my baby is going to come on time or...
I failed my first test, 175, but I hadn't fasted. So... it confuses me, because we aren't really supposed to fast while pregnant, right?
Anyway, I haven't done the 3 hour test because I'm concerned about fasting, but have decided to start checking my glucose a couple times a day, and I'm pretty normal. Sometimes I range high, but I drink water and do some exercise and it goes right down. And, this is after having serious fears of needles. But, when it comes down to...
So many doctors see everything as an emergency. they are so fearful of losing their license that they lost their common sense.
Just FYI, whenever I get the flu, I use oscillococcinum, its entirely safe and homeopathic. They have some available for children, too. Probably safer than Ibuprofen.
Another non-vaxing momma here! I'm glad you found us!! I, too, feel it is very dangerous, etc.
Congrats on your baby boy!!!
Depending on your state, you may be able to file for medical (which is hard in some states, like mine, NY), religious, and philosophical. Each state is different in terms of what it allows. Hopefully you are in a state that accepts it easily!!! You'll run into this with daycare or school as they will want to...
I'd love to hear more of your story! Please PM me. Thank you so much for your list, I do have a lot of that, so yey! And the shower curtain / additional covers sounds like a great idea too. No making the bed when I'm completely exhausted!!!
I will definitely need to research my state for how to do the bc and ssc. And, watching animal births on youtube sounds good too. I looked for homebirth videos, but a lot of them cut off right after the...
Thanks again Natasha,
I've been doing tons of research and found that the baby actually uses the placenta for oxygen and iron for the first minute after birth.... so, as long as the cord isn't tight around the baby's neck, it shouldn't hurt anything either. I believe the medical establishment has a lot of fear based things to make us feel insecure about birthing our own babies.
I'm so glad there is support here for doing it ourselves, and people who've done it,...
