It seems you have tried lots of things! I'm very surprised that you still have poo clinging onto the elastic on the FB's. I used to use FB's exclusively. And for me the ONLY WAY they came clean enough w/out stink was to rinse them out...

Well I certainly wouldn't use it regularly on fitteds, aio's and pocket dipes - they would get ruined. But it never hurt a sturdy trusty prefold! Bleach is also bad for the environment, so yes if you are doing everything...

Way back in the early 90's when my first 2 boys were little I used only prefolds. I used to just put them in the washer with detergent and 1 cup of bleach and wash on hot - and perhaps do an extra rise. That was IT! I had fresh clean...

If anyone has any pics of a baby in them I'd love to see them too! Also wish they came in a NB/XS size - maybe they will soon??
