General practice for skipping is to give the end-of-course exam. If she scores>80%, patch the holes on what she misses and move on. If I were homeschooling, my kids would probably end up skipping more that way than they should, though, because higher grades also expect secondary skills that wouldn't yet be in place. That would be a time to move horizontally with enrichment or other topics.
