Today DH asked me when I was going to start 'educating our son'. It took me off guard & annoyed me to be quite honest. I have been thinking for a while that I need to have more structure in our day, but just haven't figured out quite how yet. I am just starting to get into a good groove with my 8mo & my DS as well. So, what should/could I be doing with my DS at this age?? How structured should our day be? How do you structure your day? We read, go on...

My DS will definitely outgrow his seat by height. He is in the 95th %tile. That was the case with his infant seat too.

No, He just knows DS would be able to see the 'trucks & busses' better if front facing & thinks he would have more fun

Well the question sums it up. I am really curious as to how many of you out there do extended RF. DS is 2y5mo almost & DH keeps giving me a hard time for keeping him RF. I dont want to get into the pros & cons of extended RF bec that is for another area of the forum. I just am interested in the age you went/are planning to go FF. Thanks

Not ghetto at all. Actually, in a home that is set up with a Montessori lifestyle it is the recommended bedding for a child. It helps to foster independence by allowing a child to get out of bed when the child wants to. Not when an adult chooses to get the child out of bed. Also, our Ped said it is by far the safest bedding for a child although not the easiest for parents (due to the independence factor). He gives kudos to parents for using a floor bed.

We never used a crib at all. I really dont understand the use of them. Anyway. We started using a floor bed at 5mos for naps & DS started sleeping partial nights there at 9mos. DD is 8mos & whenever I use the floor bed for her she sleeps terribly, so she still only sleeps in our bed for now.

I also dont have any answers for you, just my own experience. My two are 20mos apart & it is tough in this respect. My DS still doesnt go to sleep on his own & the little one is now 8mos old. In the beginning my DH would stay with DS while I put the baby to sleep. Of course that wound up being right at DSs bed time. So, he ended up staying awake 1/2hr - 1 hr later & being very cranky. My DH also is not around often at bed time. Believe me we had many terrible...

Well, not a fertility Dr., but I highly recommend 'Acupuncture Center for Reproductive health" http://www.acrh.net/index.html Candace is amazing. Does Chinese medicine also. She helped me conceive #1 at age 38 & #2 at age 40 with a history of miscarriages. She also stopped some unexplained bleeding at 6wks preg with #1. Good Luck.
