Those are key words.  Getting fired up about NIP issues is one thing, but feeling anger at your friends for their parenting choices is taking things to an unhealthy level.  I don't want you to think that I don't know where you're coming from - I fully admit that when I see friends post pictures of newborns who are still in the hospital getting bottle fed there is a part of me that wants to say, "Oh come on, just give BFing a try!"  But then I immediately feel guilty,...
We tried a lot of different cups, including some of the more expensive brands and honestly had the best luck with these: http://www.diapers.com/p/playtex-first-sipster-cup-7oz-2-pack-5121?site=CI&utm_source=cse&utm_medium=cpc_D&utm_campaign=Google&utm_content=pla&ci_sku=PX-022&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw={keyword}   The handles were key for DS. When daycare tried to give him a sippy, they tried every different type they had but they were focusing on the part that goes in his...
I have a little guy who preferred veggies over fruit as a baby, and now will rarely eat a vegetable.  I try to take a long-term approach to the problem.  Not eating vegetables for 6-12 months is unlikely to have long term health implications (assuming the rest of the diet is reasonably balanced).  Having a lifelong, healthy relationship with food is the most important thing to me.  So we eat vegetables in front of him, we keep offering them without a big deal, and I keep...
Yup I found out at my 20 week u/s just like you.  I had a HB, and my midwives refer all their patients who want/need ultrasounds to a MFM practice (and so do half the OB's in my town for that matter; very few of them have their own ultrasound machines).  The MFM specialist recommended a fetal echo, which we did, and then monthly scans to check growth - which we did not do.  If anything would have presented to make us concerned about growth I would have done them, but...
Hi all, I don't post here much but Waffler - my firstborn had a two vessel cord and everything was just fine.  Be prepared at the birth though, the cord is so skinny!  Very weird.  Also, I have been feeling BH for a few weeks now.  I had them this early in my last pregnancy too, only I didn't realize at the time what they were.
Could you update me?  It's a boy :)
We have the same one, Aimee.  I really like it.  My favorite page is "Sleep well baby, you're part of my family now!"   It's also nice because the children in the book aren't gender defined.  We refer to them both being boys because that's what we have, but you could totally adjust it to your own situation.
I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but a day or two before my due date, suddenly I could see my ribs again and had more breathing room.  I went into labor a little less than a week later, and my son was born 6 days past my due date.
I am also having a boy who will be my second son (and likely last child).  I was disappointed for maybe 20 minutes and now I'm just so excited to have all boys.  I don't know what I'd do with a girl to be honest!   I try not to project too much, because I know that sibling relationships are unique regardless of gender and age gap, but I'm really hoping they'll be buddies.  My sister has 2 sons who are also 2 years apart and they play really well together.
Another vote for Stride Rite.  My son's daycare spends as much time outdoors as possible (awesome!!) and he was destroying Robeez in a matter of weeks, so we moved up to Stride Rite which he's still in now at 20 months.  Their Stage 2 shoes have super flexible soles, you can bend them right in half.
