our twin girls are six now! When they were born, we had four older ones - 11, 9, 6 and 4 yrs old - they were a huge help and I don't feel like we "lost" anyone (well, except me!). Re the who's older question, we liked hearing about other cultures who consider the second born the older one, cuz she was in there further! So, we found the questions of who's older to be strange, but we just answer with N was born first. But it's never been an issue between our...
Fuhrman's Eat to Live isn't vegan, actually. Animal products are limited, but not necessarily eliminated. I'm vegan. Have been and will continue to be. I'm looking for weight loss and increased nutrition. I've eaten well for years, but I broke my leg after my twins were born and have stayed heavy since. I'm down 25 lbs and have about that to go to optimal weight. Weight loss will help my feet (I have plantar fasciitis), and I do believe it'll help with my general...
I think I've been suffering for about 4 years and have only recently heard of thyroid problems and adrenal fatigue. I have six kids (15, 14, 9, 7, and twin 4yr olds). The last five years have been extremely stressful and hard for me. I've been pregnant or nursing (mostly two at a time) for 10 years now. I think I'm depleted in so many ways. And only in the last year and a half, I've really begun to look at what is so wrong with me. I kept telling myself that when the...
congrats to your friend! Ours were surprise too.........though I think I knew something about it, just didn't want it realized during the pregnancy. Mine were both breach. Hour and a quarter between them.........7lbs 10 oz and 7lbs 3 oz. All was well..........whole Kaiser hosp staff came to see and exclaim why knowing less and using less is better.......just like old times!!! They all knew that I'd never have gotten to birth them vaginally if we'd known ahead of...
My girls turned two in April and I have four older kids. I'd really love to meet up with another mom of multiples in the area.
My girls are almost 28 months old and still nursing. I just went away for a few days, during the day, and came back empowered to set limits for them, since they did so well without me! So, they can nurse in the morning, after lunch for nap and after dinner for bed.........and then we're still trying to work on night weaning. It's be terribly difficult with two of them. I want to sleep through the night.
Hearty multigrain muffins made with nuts and dried fruits. Avocado dips or sandwiches. Dry roasted almonds. Dried fruits. Tortillas and beans. Salad with lots of "things" in it! Like avocado, beets, apples, sunflower seeds, etc. Pasta with pesto sauce ready in the fridge........cold or hot. Most importantly, ready to eat food. As in, needing no preparation before consumption. And even better if it's finger food that isn't going to spill easily on those babes in...
I think I saw someone post something about a vegan diet not being good for her kids' teeth. Is there any research done on this subject? K
What is the Pantley Pop? Your description of being on your back with baby on each side on a pillow and another girl on top made me laugh! When my girls were just a few months old, I broke my leg. So I slept in a recliner and my husband and the girls slept on a futon on the floor next to me. He passed them to me as they needed to nurse during the night. But in the morning, when he got up to shower and leave for work, I would have to go to the bathroom first and...
No bed rest for me! My twins were a surprise at delivery, though, so nobody was watching and expecting that for me. They are my 5th and 6th children. The girls came at just past 37 weeks and were both breach, folded up and bottoms first........delivered just fine! No squished up, funny shaped heads! They weighed 7lbs 10oz and 7lbs 3oz I had complained about swollen ankles and a vericose vein in one leg.....I remember my nurse laughing that those were normal...
