Met with the ped today.  All the specific allergy tests came back negative--egg, soy, milk, fish, wheat, sesame etc. We are waiting for the results on the celiac blood test but we have an appointment for a pediatric gastro specialist and will go there no matter what the celiac blood test tells.  I am a bit confused what all these different blood tests mean but I am glad she is sharing my concern. Hoping they find nothing but at the same time, I would love answers. Had...
Thanks again. I don't know what to think, maybe I am barking up the wrong tree with the food sensitivities thing.  I just thought that because there was such a difference made when we quit milk.    She was up 4 times last night crying that her belly hurt and we woke up this morning with poop everywhere in her crib.  She had the biggest blow out ever.   Until our appointment on Friday I am going to greatly simplify her diet and see what happens.  She is eating...
I have a follow up appointment on Friday but I got the test results, her IGE result was 5, which from what I understand is a negative.  Are there questions I should be asking on Friday in light of this?    Thanks again?
Thanks, guys. I appreciate your responses.  We are going in today for a lab test.  I just want answers!
Thank you for your reply.  The one thing that in the back of my mind that is pushing me towards the blood test is that she has had actual reactions to a couple of things.  We fed her fish sticks for the first time a few months ago and she broke out in blotches across her face.  Also, she loves hummus and was eating once with her shirt off and got some on her chest, when we wiped it off, there were red spots/welts underneath where the hummus was.  The same thing happened...
I am just looking for some thoughts and guidance.  Until 1 month ago, I worked full time and my kids went to daycare.  I quit my job to stay home and since then have been a bit alarmed by my 22 month olds poop.  My daycare providor always said it was weird but since she was a daytime pooper, I would often go a week and only change one diaper.    Anyways, she was pooping 4-8 times per day and it would be like water, pale yellow and had a horrible acidic smell.  I Dr....
I hate my job.  Well, actually, I am totally indifferent and not into it at all.  I moved jobs shortly before my DD2 (18mths) was born and that just made it worse.  Not very feminist of me but I don't care anymore.  I want to be home with my kids.  After a long time of talking it out, I am quitting in a couple of months to stay home.  Fingers crossed that it is as great as I hope.
I always wonder about these posts, when momma's are asking for good stories and encouragement to do a homebirth where risk factors are involved.  All over MDC, people tout "listening to your gut and following your momma insticts."  Maybe if you are nervous and uncertain and require good stories and encouragement to help you go through with something, maybe THAT is your instincts talking.  Maybe if you feel worried, it is because you actually have something to be worried...
Ha! I was just thinking about this myself-making my menu plan and stuff.  I don't know.  I just typically try to stay out of Target and that usually keeps me out of trouble :)
Hi there, That is rough, I know.  My DD is 17months old and has been going through some serious separation anxiety.  I personally would chalk it up to a stage and wait it out.  If your gut tells you something else is wrong them listen but I guess I would re-evaluate in a month or so.
