Thanks everyone for input. We started her out last night in the room with her sister. She did fall asleep, but when she woke up she also woke her sister. So, I ended up putting her back in her crib. I am not sure if I am hallucinating or not, but it did seem like there were fewer wake ups last night. JooAnna - she does still nap, and when I have tried cutting naps out she falls asleep at dinner time and then is up half the night. I have also tried shorter naps, but I of...
Thanks jtapc90ta and mumo6.   mum06 I appreciate all your experience and advice. She does already have her own twin bed. The trouble is it is in the same room as the four year old, and I just worry about waking her up. I think I will go ahead and try it tonight anyway. I really do hope that with consistency she will stop waking so much. It seemed much easier with my older daughter, but different personalities I guess.   Again, thanks so much!
I am really desprete for any help with our situation. My sleep deprivation has reached a point where my physical and mental health are suffering, and I am not able to be the person and mom I want to be.   I have a four year old and two year old. The two year old sleeps in our room, until recently in our bed. She has always been a frequent waker - every 1-2 hours - since about 3 months of age. It got to the point where she was nursing nearly the entire night. She turned...
Thank you both for your thoughts. I have just been eating a very simple diet, no processed foods, no dairy or wheat, and this seems to be helping. I don't think it is really an allergy, but perhaps a sensitivity, as I have been consuming a lot of wheat and dairy for most of my life. Avoiding these foods has really made me aware of how heavily I was relying on them. I think a little break, and then moving towards a more balanced eating plan after is what I need. It is...
I have been feeling very sick to my stomach after eating for a while now. Mostly just nauseous, and a bit dizzy, but also sometimes pain, and an overly full feeling. I am also having seasonal allergy type symptoms and joint pain, so I thought maybe it was a food allergy/sensitivity. I cut out wheat and dairy, but I am still feeling sick after every meal.   I have taken a pregnancy test, which was negative.   I have a 10 month old and almost three year old, and am...
My 2.5 year old was the same way at that age, and now sleeps through the night! She slept in our bed for the first year, and I nursed her to sleep every night, and nursed on demand all night long. After she turned one we gradually transitioned her to a crib adjacent to our bed - this took about 6 months because she had a a hard time with this transition and we were not willing to do cio. Once she was consistently sleeping in the crib I night weaned her,  she was about 20...
Thanks you for the response. I am excited to try this!
I really want to make a waldorf doll with short hair. Is short hair created with a crocheted wig? Any thoughts on how short hair is made and attached would be most helpful and appreciated. Thanks!
Not sure if these are what you are looking for, but here are some dresses I think are cute: http://www.simplicity.com/p-1666-child-separates.aspx http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m606...hp?page_id=486 http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m596...hp?page_id=486 http://www.simplicity.com/p-5030-childs-dresses.aspx http://www.simplicity.com/p-4485-childs-sportswear.aspx Good luck!
I just started thinking about holiday gifts and am in awe at the progress being made here! Very inspiring! My main problem this year is a very lean budget. I am looking to spend almost no money on gift making supplies. Does anyone have suggestions for free or very low budget materials for gift making? I do have some wool and cotton yarn as well as a little fabric stash. I have some ideas for dh and dd, as well as the women in the family. However I am having a...
