I think it depends. I've flown with moby and ergo, on different occasions, and most of the time they didn't require me to remove the moby or the baby, but once i had to remove the ergo and the baby, which was a major PITA.

I never force my kids to apologise. I don't believe there's any value to it. True apologies come from within.

What if you were to "good boy" your dad a couple of times? He might realise how silly it is, and how uncomfortable the recipient actually feels.
