Thank goodness for spies! Milk!!!!!!!!! What meds should you be taking? I will be hoping and hoping that this is your sticky baby. Sending so much love to your little one.
Sila, I'm so sorry about the crappy period. Miss you.
So sorry to be so absent. I need to catch up but a quick update... Last Friday my midwife had me come into the L and D for some fluids as I was cramping and had bad diarrhea (after months of severe constipation.. hello Zofran). As a matter of precaution they ran a fetal febronectic test which assesses the chances of preterm labor. Negative results are very accurate and you can usually be assured that labor is not imminent. It was a shock when mine came...
Nice work, mamas!
Vegan, the swimming sounds so lovely. Hope you get to the class twice a week!
Springmum, nice lipty work! I need to get back to the pool very soon!
Mustardseed, so sorry to hear you can't workout... do they have any idea what's causing the high heart rate?
Definitely feeling more third trimesterish now. Running is still going well and yesterday I ran 5 and walked on the beach for at least a mile straight afterward with the dogs...
We didn't really have a plan with DS but quickly found that he was a natural cosleeper. I honestly didn't think I'd love cosleeping but now I cannot imagine not doing it. It's funny how things surprise you. We have a Moses basket, crib, an Amby (someone gave us) and used none of them really. We had a snuggle nest in the bed and DS stayed in there most of the night until around 3am when he would snuggle very closely. We used to put him to sleep in his crib or amby until...
Silly, how did you sleep last night?
Vegan, I think there's some truth to the waking up preparing us for night-feeding. I know this little one is much more active during the night - or it might be that I notice him more, but DS was just like that and the times when he was very wiggly in utero (around 4am) it translated directly into a feeding time once he was here!
For some reason I'm not loving the bike - but I may try again as running gets harder. I...
Silly, I have the exact same problem. I wake up around 3ish but need to get up around 4:30ish to fit in exercise so I'm basically staying awake, or if I go back to sleep it's a bit of a disaster as I wake up feeling worse. Sleep is much better on days I really work out. Hope it works for you. It may take a few days for you to feel the effects. Hang in there.
Hey fit mamas, (runners, walkers, yogis, swimmers.. basically anyone who moves!)
As we enter our final trimester how are you all feeling and how are you still doing with your fitness?
I am feeling much more cumbersome but I'm still running 2-3 times a week between 5-6 miles a time and I'm also getting to the gym and using the elliptical and lifting weights on other days. I actually feel much more tired when I don't do anything (like today), though I'm still...
Vegan, welcome home! Goodness, I would have melted in that heat but floating in the pool sounds very nice. Work is really calming down for me, too, and since I won't be teaching in the Fall I mostly have research to work on and some admin stuff. It feels good to have some time to prepare - especially since we have so much to do!
I also like the moon picture. I might be interested in being a co-leader, though I am not very tech savvy :)
Silly, ack, so sorry...
