I had a tear that wasn't sutured after giving birth that was slow to heal. It was still open at my six week post partum visit.  My midwives suggested doing sitz baths with Myrrh. It is supposed to help skin cell granulation....
Sounds like they would be good in some salad.  Or what about throwing them in the blender with some soaked/cooked legumes, garlic, olive oil etc. and making a kind a hummusy thing?
Its great to hear about a mama trusting her instincts on diet for her and her family!  Way to go mama!
It seems like slowing down nursing as the other mamas have suggested could be a benefit since prolactin inhibits fertility.... But the other thing that I think of is maybe tying to pump up your nutrient intake through eating some...

There is a copper-based chemical that can be applied to cold frames as weather proofing, which is relatively nontoxic. Copper is needed by our bodies as a trace mineral, so it's not bad at all... It's what i'm planning to use.
I would try kale, broccoli, beets, carrots. If you can get the brassicas big enough before the frosts come they should be okay...and more delicious. Light frosts actually sweeten them!
The only way that I've been able to have beet kvass turn out is to use whey... You could try getting the "whey" out of dairy free yogurt like coconut yogurt. Otherwise you might try adding a little juice from sourkraut or...
