I'll join you. My DH is an avid CFer. I've been doing the kids workouts w/ my DS (very sporadically), but I need to ratchet it up a bit. An outside the family unit "buddy" might help.
Have you tried the scaled WODs at BrandX?
The box fort has me reminiscing...one year for Christmas, when we were small, my Mom filled a refrigerator box with helium filled balloons and wrapped it. It is still the most memorable gift my siblings and I have ever received. We did end up making it into a fort.
We just tried an idea from that family fun mag that was awesome. You take a plastic water bottle and cut the bottom off. Fasten a damp washcloth around the bottom with a rubberband. Dip the washcloth end in...

See, I didn't even think about that.
Not like I'm taking it out that much but, still...good to know. Thanks.
I just started using the ring about 2 weeks ago. So far, not a fan.
The good...I don't notice it. I don't have to remember a pill.
The bad...(bear in mind it's only been 2 weeks). My hormones seem to be a bit out of whack. The only pills I've ever used were a mini-pill after the birth of my daughter and Orthotricycline (sp?) more recently. I would put this more on par with Ortho. Breakouts, greasy hair, retaining water, very moody. This is all 2 weeks post AF, so I...

I had 1984 on my Kindle and it was deleted. I had already read it, but even if I hadn't, I agree with what they did.
Sorry, I didn't realize it was an...
I was seriously considering one of these as well, until Amazon deleted every legitimately-purchased copy of 1984 and Animal Farm from all Kindles remotely. The publishers changed their minds about electronic versions of the work. I think they also did it with an unauthorized sequel to Catcher in the Rye. They refunded the purchase price of the books, but I'm just not a big fan of them having that kind of control over my library. So, until their user agreement changes,...
Much to the littles chagrin, packed a bag of snacks (homemade jerky, fruit, water bottles) so that after I pick up the kiddos from camp/preschool they can't convince me to stop on the way home.
Put the car in neutral (5spd) on every possible downhill and coasted as long as (safely) possible. Commute is 25 miles each way and I pretty much work up a mountain. Since I traded in my Sienna for a Vibe, because of the terrain, I've been averaging 38-40 mpg
We're tiny kitchen people, too. I actually envy you your counter space, lol. The area that you have under the window, where the sink is? That's my kitchen. The stove is directly next to the sink, with no counter in between. We have enough room for a drying rack next to the sink, with about 10 inches of space left over for prep area. However, that area has upper cabinets, so.....yeah.
We have a glass surface stove, so it does double duty as prep area. I also have a very...
