Are they by any chance blue? I've noticed that some of the blue items I purchase, even 100% cotton, has a weird smell. I haven't figured out how to get the smell out, so now I make sure I smell blue fabric before I buy it.
I don't have an answer, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who has thought about this. Unfortunately, my teenagers are now in the "I'm not hungry" phase where they then eat three bowls of cereal after dinner (they do eat what I cook, but at lunch the next day usually) and there are also tae kwon do classes six nights a week. One of these days I do want to have something like that, though, so at least I don't have to yell, "Dinner's ready!!" up the stairs only to be be...
I'm doing it, but I didn't sign up at the site because I know as soon as I do I'll forget and skip a few days. I'm going out of town this weekend with a dozen of my friends (woohoo!!!) so I'll have some posts that will be set to publish while I'm gone, but I'm going to make an effort to stick to the intention of NaBloPoMo which is to actually write every day.
I'll check everyone's blogs out later today, right now I need COFFEE!!!
Oh, Monday. Here's what I need to do today:
Go to library to pick up hold books--DONE
15 min. cleaning in master bath, kitchen, playroom, living room
4 loads laundry--DONE
Bake bread, cornbread, and muffins
Get dinner started in crockpot--DONE
Have kids vacuum stairs, clean hamster cages, clean in bedrooms 15 minutes.
I know I spend at LEAST two hours a day cleaning because I do it in 15-minute intervals. We have a large house, four kids who are here (homeschooling) most of the time, lots of STUFF. Too much stuff, I'm working on that but I'm the only one who cares so it's slow going. We're in and out of the house so often during the day that it feels like we're here long enough to make a mess but not long enough to clean it up. The two hours I spend cleaning is really mostly on the...
We use a shoe bag as well. In fact, all the kids' rooms have one on both the front and the back of the closet doors, not for shoes but for small toys. The one inside the front closet holds our gloves/scarves/hats. At least, it will in another month or two when fall finally hits.
I have got THE CRUD that's been going around here, have barely been sleeping due to all the coughing and phlegm...I'm exhausted. But life doesn't stop when Mom is sick, right? So I'm making a list here to keep myself accountable so that I don't sit down on the couch and pass out.
We have several places to be today: therapist, one kid to psychology class, one kid to calculus class, two tae kwon do classes. The calculus class isn't over until 9:45 tonight, I plan on...
Okay, can we do this again today? I'm going to be out schlepping children around from 10-12:30, 2-4:00, 5:30-9:00, but somehow in there I'm going to get stuff done. Not quite sure how. I have simple goals for today, since we'll be gone so much.
15 minutes cleaning each in:
prep veg & make sauce for dinner in afternoon
2 loads laundry--DONE
I think I if I try to do any more than that I'll be overwhelmed so I'll...
