My previous babies arrived at 40+1 and 40+4 so I've been totally expecting to go past my due date again...of course I realise that the baby could potentially come before but in my mind, it doesn't seem likely lol.
I've had 2 vaginal births. I was never offered a wheel chair either time when I was leaving the hospital (though I would have appreciated it after my first birth as I had a zillion of stitches and walking hurt like hell) I did stay overnight at the hospital, didn't leave early after the births though so maybe that's why?
I've never birthed in a tub but with my first I LOVED the shower and got a lot of pain relief from that. I was so excited about getting into the shower as soon as I arrived at the hospital when I was in labour with my second but I didn't get any relief from the shower during that labour. I wanted out almost immediately and felt better moving around that time so I don't know what to expect this labour.
I probably wouldn't go to a wedding with a newborn personally but if I was considering it, I would write a note explaining attendance was pending on babies arrival or maybe call cousin and ask how they felt and when is the latest they need to know by.
P.S My mom had me 7.5 weeks early (all 4 of her kids came early, I was the earliest) so I kind of expected to have my babies born early too but so far both of my kids have came after their due dates. :)
