LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I used to dunk the poop out in the toilet and then rinse the diaper in the bathtub before putting it in the pail. Of course that meant we could never use the bathtub (we have 2 bathrooms) but I didn't know how else...

Swaddling seems to be a standard hospital practice, so now I've gotta question it. LOL Isn't skin to skin much better than swaddling a baby? So is swaddling a good thing to do?
I want my kids to see what a HB looks like and all I can find are hospital births!
I do one wash on cold/cold THen add 1 TBSP of Charlie's powder and wash on HOT/COLD I don't even do a vinegar rinse anymore! Maybe the TTO is causing the problems??

My plan is to tie the cord with a sterilized string and then cut. If I wait until the placenta is completely drained, do I still need to use the string? I'd like to avoid a clamp/string if possible. This will be our first time to cut...
Have you looked into using Charlie's soap (it's a detergent though) because it rinses completely out. I think some stink is from pee activating the dried in laundry detergent.
