I'm nursing my 21 month old who is allergic to dairy-soy-eggsand nuts- the only reaction to dairy and soy is microscopic blood in stool(that I know of)- we introduced dairy directly at a year- and he didn't have blood in his stool at 3 days- but when we brought the stool samples in 2 weeks later- he did... at 18months i ate some cheese- and 3 days later he had blood in his stool -2 sundays ago i had cheese- and he had blood in his stool on fri- sunday and today- is it...
thanks so much for your help... i have given my son and I probiotics... tried to avoid sugar..yeast etc..(it's hard!) to heal me......my doc sent me to an allergist after begging...refused to send me to GI specialist... i gave my LO yogurt everyday since tues... everything looks great so far... except his bum was red today.. the doc checked his stool for blood( blood free!) but... if he was still sensitive.. My DS is 11 months old- i plan on breastfeeding until he's at least 2 years old.... he has a milk protein intolerance ( diagnosed w-blood in stool at 5 weeks) I've been Dairy- SOY ( just in case)- EGG and PEA ( red cheeks) -free ( peanuts also to be on safe side)- for 10 months. I have been milk and soy free for ten months... and I've also been avoiding peas and eggs( they make LO's cheeks red). I have tried eggs ( a little mayo) about once a month the last couple of months... this month I tried and was delighted when my LO didn't get red cheeks!!!!!!!!! But... he has little bumps on his arms and legs ( not hives) ( looks like goosebumps)- Is this related? I'm so happy to have something new in my diet- but perfectly willing to take eggs out...
I have been dairy- soy and egg free for 5 months while breastfeeding my son. Just last month he got a patch of eczema on his cheek- would this be an allergy to something else in my diet? I haven't changed anything in my diet- so i don't know where this is coming from. Is eczema always a sign of an allergy? My son has been symptom free for 4 months.
Has anyone healed their gut and then have their subsequent children still have allergies? Were their allergies lessened compared to your older children?Or- did they not even have allergies? How about the older children- is this your first allergic child? ( I just want to be prepared for the future- this isn't easy!)
