I read Diary of a Midwife a couple days ago, really enjoyed it!  Now I need some more birthy reading.   Both of my daughters have birthdays this week and DH just started his new job, it's been a busy week!

Welcome!  I just saw your thread in Tribal Areas about your petition to BCBS, and I think we're on another board (pg.org) together too.  (I'm the one who PMd you about the vax thread, so no big surprise to see me here!)  
I have similar options myself, and there's no way I want to birth at the local military hospital unless it's absolutely necessary.  We've saved like crazy and paid out of pocket for my last 3 births and will be doing it this time...

We're on a tight budget right now too, so I haven't been to the chiro in way too long now.  I feel so much better when I go.  My insurance doesn't cover it, so it's usually about $25-$35 a visit for me, the initial consult...
