About the special needs kiddos.  You can try calling Stone Soup Group, Alaska Youth and Family Network, and FOCUS to let them know you want to connect with other families in the Valley.  I actually kinda like the rain...

Alaska is a place with active TB.  So really every area is at risk.

BTW this thread is two years old. 

O'Malley is a good school IMO. My biggest problem with neighborhood schools is that most use Everyday Math.  There isn't much "teaching to the test" in K anyway.
