Granolamommy3, that is a horrible story!  I really am upset at the way medical professionals often treat us like our feelings are irrelevant.  So glad your daughter is okay!

I knew I loved my midwife when I said "I'm going to be 40 when we deliver and this is our first child." And she laughed and said "So? People give birth at 40 all the time - its just a number." <3
