I have to agree with Chrissy, temperment has tons to do with it. So far my first and fourth are higher needs too! You get back what you put into those children who are high needs babies, my first is now 10 and she is a wonderful child, thoughtful, resposible, caring, very intelligent, and emotionally intelligent.

A family member asked me once, as he was taking a sip of water from the sink, "you do know how that happens, right?" I replied, "yes, I think it's something in the water..." You have to keep your sense of humor. I have four (so far) and we attract lots of comments, they are almost always positive. But the attention does make me nervous that someone will say something mean in front of my children. I don't know why people would say such thoughtless...

My husband is an overtime junkie, lol. He works 70 hours a week usually. Those are 6 twelve hour days. He used to work all seven days, and just told me he is going to start doing that again at the end of the month. :( We have been married 10 years, now we have 4 children. I've been at home with them from the beginning, and I homeschool now too. This past year has been hard for me at least. Maybe it is a hormonal thing, since I had my fourth babe 3 months ago. I...

I did a "rebirth" in my bath tub. My mom just darkened the bathroom, except for candle light. She and my husband knelt beside the tub. I swished my ds slowly and gently across the warm water and then my husband hands and mine brought him to my chest. His birth was great, but I did the rebirth because of an epidural headache which I believe somehow messed with my baby's sucking. Could not get him to nurse and I had to feed him breastmilk with a cup. We did the...

Thank you! I found tons of sites just by googling, knitty.com has a good tutorial. Check it out, it is not hard at all, you can do it! I even sold a skein in my etsy shop! Right now I am knitting the yarn pictured in my original post into shorties for my ds. The ooga booga fabric is going to be a shirt to match, that is, if I can pull myself away from dyeing long enough to sew!

I tried handpainting some knitpicks bare yarn I had laying around. I wanted it to match the ooga booga fabric, it is not exact, but close. I think I have a new hobby, because I had a lot of fun! http://www.flickr.com/photos/59382322@N06/?saved=1

Several days ago ds didn't nurse as much as usual and I ended up overly full. One side of my breast got a little red spot and harder, and I had trouble finally getting it to empty, but I did. It looked like mastitis coming on, but I did not get the fever, thank goodness. That spot is still very sore now, days later. What's up with that? Anyone else experience this?
