It's nit productive at all. Thank you for the suggestions. Definitely a few things I haven't tried. I've done eucalyptus before but it seems to irritate her. I'm wondering if I'm putting too much.
Last Monday DD5 had a fever for two days along with a nasty cough. We rested heavily both days and also gave her elderberry, Chestal with honey, echinaccea drops in her water and a cherry bark syrup. The fever went away after 2days but the cough won't go away. It's keeping her up at night so much she's exhausted during the day. We bought a Hylands version nighttime cough med which works a little but not enough. We switched to the Taiwan kids cough syrup and are still doing...

I'm a fan of Gaia on Facebook!
Such a huge fan of their products, especially during the cold & flu season! We swear by them here. Would love to win this awesome basket!
Did lots of research last night and spoke with pedi this morning. Our pedi follows local protocol which is to wait it out and see if symptoms arise. She emphasized what I'd read that with children under 8 years of age there is no evidence the abx will have any effect as a preventative measure. We're going to...
Tonight before bed, DD told me her head hurt and when I checked discovered a tick. I know zilch about them so after some googling, discovered it was a female deer tick who had yet to have a "blood meal". We removed the tick but part of the head is still embedded so we're headed to the pedi in the morning. From our phone conversation, I know he is in favor of treating with antibiotics. I always follow my instincts and usually they tell me to stay away from abx. Neither of...
DD woke up Thursday with a cough which has gotten progressively more productive. Since then we've given her lots of echinacea and elderberry, loaded her up on water and tea and honey. The cough is no better and she's having trouble sleeping -  last night the cough caused her to vomit at bedtime but then she was able to sleep, though not soundly. And tonight she's complained of a headache specifically in her forehead (I asked her if the rest of her head hurt and she was...
