Have you thought about taking an iodine supplement?  I do that and I think it is helpful, although I'm still not "perfect" :)   You can just buy these inexpensive little iodine drops called Liqui-Kelp, don't take more...

Taking iron supplements was really helpful for me when I was pregnant...I took the floradix liquid, and it totally helped me feel less negative and overwhelmed.  I wasn't officially anemic, but my iron levels were low.  Also...
