Still nicer than people making comments like "Oh! You're ready to pop!"  And then I'm like, "No, I'm only 22 weeks STOOPID!" To be fair I am ALL belly and I look to be about 7 months. After 7 months, even to an experienced mom, most pregnancies look the same. So I understand the "pop anyday" comments but they just get old really, really fast.
The silver lining is my husband "thinks" I'll be back at my pre-pre-pregnancy weight by Christmas.  The skin on my stomach is stretched so thin, it's going to take major reconstructive surgery to get back into anything even slightly resembling "pre-pregnancy."   I'm done fighting the c-section. Whatever. Take them out in November or December or January. I'm not the doctor. There's a whole team of specialists I'm working with and if they say they met and decided the Trips...
Yes! I am currently going thru this too. I'm pg with triplets and had to pre-register this morning for my c-section on 11/29/11. 9 weeks early! I'm so upset. All I can do right now is complain on every board I can find. Lol.   I don't want a c-section. NO! I'd like to make it to the new year but my frat twin is growing like a weed and is currently in the 72% of SINGLETON pregnancies and they're afraid her growth will prohibit my Mono/Di twins. Currently my Mo/Di...
I'm measuring really large! I'm way ahead of other triplet moms in the February club. Actually, I'm no longer in the Feb 2012 club because my girl Dahlia is growing like a singleton and moved our EDD up to January 28, 2012. I just pre-registered for my c-section scheduled for November 29, 2011. I'll be 31w 3d. I am not happy about it but the doctors don't feel I have enough room and made the final decision yesterday based on a number of factors. :(
I have the Leebruss twin pram. The only problem is each baby lies in their own carrycot. :( And the whole thing is devilishly heavy.    As for "rolling with it" - I've had numerous doubts about whether or not I should've continued with the pregnancy. It's all documented in here somewhere. I'm STILL not sure I did the right thing. The worst that can happen is I'll have 3 more kids. Whatever. I can afford it. I have help. It's time I shut up about it.
Looks like my twins ended up being triplets. Oh well. Lmao.   Car situation: We bought a Chevy Traverse. Fits 2 convertible car seats in the 3rd row with room in the middle. And fits 3 infant car seats in the 2nd row. We bought an 8 seater model.   Stroller: I've been gushing for months now about my 2 Britax B-Ready strollers. One baby will have to be worn. Period. (or share a seat with a sibling... hmm)   Crib/Rooms: All 5 will share. End of story.   Am...
I didn't care for swaddling and didn't do much of it at home but it totally helped them! I also let them sleep together in the same bassinet. I tried the co-sleeper but our bed was so high and it was hard to reach over and get the fussy baby without twisting up my back muscles. So I gave up the co-sleeper and just got bassinets. Around 3 months I discovered that the swing was really helpful in getting them to sleep. I'll admit they spent many a night sleeping in their...
Our twins will be sharing a room with the trips. We have 3 cribs right now so I plan to move the twins into their own separate cribs by Halloween. The trips will share a crib as long as possible. We live in a 5 bdr house (common for SoCal) so I definitely have the room but I can't see giving the trips their own room right now. Plus one of the rooms is our office, the other is my Messy Room where I throw all of my junk in there. I'm not ready to clean it out! Lol.
Well we should be naming our twin boys after their family legacy. One would be the 8th Nicholai and the other the 5th Giovanni. Those will probably end up as middle names.   We currently call the babies:   Dahlia (Baby A) - Tripp (Baby B) and Chase (Baby C)
My twins are 6 months as well and teething! You definitely need a schedule. I only allow one nap during the day but it's a long nap. Almost 3 hours long and it's right after lunch which I serve at 11 am. My twins are eating solids, not sure if that makes a difference. I still nurse too.    Our schedule is so rigid that I'm bored out of my mind! We take walks to the park, they have a swim class and we go out on the weekends but Monday - Friday they follow a very...
