So a breast fed baby does not have more antibodies than a bottle fed one? I've heard the antibody advantage many times over.   Also, even in a baby only feeds on breastmilk, he could have non-sterile contents enter his GI tract by, for example, sucking on his finger that could have touched anything.
Hi there Peggy. I'm hoping that you can help me understand something. We know that breastfeeding protects the baby's health by transmitting anti-bodies through breast milk. But that has me worried, because if that were the case, wouldn't viruses be passed through aswell?
