I've been having a really terrible taste in my mouth lately. It doesn't matter what I eat, after I eat my mouth tastes icky and sour. I did some digging around on mothering.com and learned that gargling with baking soda and water might help. Well, for two days I've gargled in the morning and been icky taste free all day. Just thought I'd share!

Hi Dragonfly, I haven't been through this either, but I'm sending good energy and prayers your way. I imagine you're having so many different emotions flood your brain and they are all ok. I'm very happy that were able to hear a heartbeat. Hopefully it will only get stronger!

It's never too early to start yoga! My mom is a yoga instructor and the minute she found out I was pregnant, she started planning a prenatal series for me. I've been doing regular yoga on and off for years. The great thing about yoga is that you can tailor it to suit you. So you can make it as gentle as you want, even though it's pretty low impact to start with. Have fun!

Meredith: we almost have the same schedule! I think I ovulated on August 17 and my past two cycles had been 39 days and 32 days respectively. Prior to that I had been suppressing my cycle, so those are the only two cycles I have to go on. Thankfully, I'm having a dating ultrasound on Friday. I'm really hoping for a healthy strong heartbeat!! Based on my LMP I'd be 8 weeks 1 day. I'm thinking it's more like 7 weeks. Congratulations on your happy news!

Oh, I love Madison! And I live in the aforementioned "crunchy" neighborhood of Willy Street/Olbrich. It's fantastic and I can't wait to raise my little one here. There are many people here from all over the the country (and world) because of UW-Madison. There are pocket of crunchy outside of Madison (Viroqua in southwest WI) but they are few and far between. However, in general people are very accepting in the Midwest. I think we might be too polite to say otherwise....

I'm 32 and pregnant with baby #1, this is my first pregnancy. I'm not sure what my estimated due date is, somewhere near the beginning of May. I have an early ultrasound scheduled for this Friday for dating purposes. I'm very excited! I feel terrible. Nausea is constant and I'm managing it a bit with acupuncture, Unisom and B-6, sea bands and lots of meditation when I can get a peaceful enough moment. I look forward to a time when I can say, "Remember how bad that...

BonnieNova - just knowing that someone felt how I currently feel and that they felt better after 12 weeks gives me a HUGE ray of hope! I'm 6-7 weeks. And your first post describes me exactly. I'm hope everything went well with the rest of the pregnancy! My best to you!
