Hang in there Candace.  It sucks to get all the unsolicited advice, because truly, having twins (or other multiples) is one of those things that you just can't understand until it happens to you.  As a mom of twins, I would certainly never begin to presume to know what it is like to have triplets...right?!  Oh well. People just love to talk...that's what I find.  They speak without thinking, or think it is coming from a kind place.  And really, the big thing I have...
This resonates with me.  We've been in our rental condo in TN for almost a year now, waiting for our house in KY to sell.  Most of our books, decor, etc. is still in boxes in the garage.  I haven't felt like getting it all out, as I was pregnant when we moved, and now...I just want to find our "forever" home.  So for now, it doesn't feel like we are "home" at all.  It's like being in limbo.  Trying to get used to living here, but I don't think TN will ever feel like...
I agree with Heidi.  Nashville probably has more crunchiness than Franklin.  I live in Murfreesboro, so I don't know Franklin intimately. But from the time I have spent there, and the time I have visited in Nashville, I would say Nashville has more pockets of amenities that fit in with a "crunchy" lifestyle.  Middle TN in general seems to be pretty well supplied with midwives and doulas, and birthing options.   Franklin, is a charming town, though.  I actually just...
Hang in there, on both fronts.  Naps have been a real struggle for us, too.  I know exactly what you mean when you say you feel like you put babies to sleep all day.  My girls just turned 7 months and only now are they taking longer naps- anywhere from 50 min to the rare 2 hour.  I will usually get a 1 hour 20 min. nap at least once a day for one of their naps.  So it really does get better.  It seemed like forever they were stuck at the dreaded 30 min sleep cycle,...
Twin names: Guinevere Isabeau and Rosamund Persephone Gestational age upon arrival: 37 weeks Fraternal/Identical: They were mono/di, one placenta, two sacs. But, I don't know?  Everyone told me they would likely be identical.  And the research I did made that seem the case. Then, when they were born, my OB said, "well, we know they aren't identical because there were two sacs." huh?  Their features seem the same, but they can often look very different because G....
Came across this earlier today...a list of intentions that may be good for this new moon :-) http://www.turningwheelastrology.com/newtaurus.html
Thanks for the kind words on the babes, everyone :-) Glad everyone is enjoying the Beltane season.  Except, ugh, revolting, sorry you had that experience. I would not be down with that at all. vy, aw, that is so sweet.  Z sounds adorable. amlikam, an exciting time for you. You are almost there, mama!  <3
ha ha, I was still reading the April thread as if the month had never changed *brain fog!* Happy May and happy belated Beltane.  :-)  I had a nice stroller walk with the girls, made a small altar, poured out some water, wine and honey for the ancestors.  A little Tarot reading. And J. brought some cupcakes home from work.   Today my girls are 7 months old, and today I had my first mammogram.  blergh. Actually, it wasn't as bad as I expected. Even if it does make your...
So happy for you Maia!! Hurrah!
Maybe you could make a tincture like this? https://www.etsy.com/listing/125012390/sale-4-oz-tincture-sale?ref=shop_home_active   I have never made one, but I remember Mountain Rose Herbs blogging about them: http://mountainroseblog.com/guide-tinctures-extracts/   They also have this recipe for "Dandy" tummy bitters :-) http://mountainroseblog.com/dandy-tummy-bitters-recipe/
