With my first, my water broke at 4:00 am when I was 37 weeks. What a surprise! Real contractions didn't even start until 8:30 pm that night and my daughter was born at home in my bed, 4 hours later. With my son, light contractions were on and off for a few days and when they started to get intense it was four hours until he was born in a birthing tub, but my water broke as he was crowing. I'm pregnant with my third now and have no idea what to expect, but I hope for...
I knew It felt right to keep my baby close to me at all times, so I wore my first baby from day 1 and still wear her at every opportunity at 2.5 years. Babywearing has now become even more crucial now that I also have a 4 month old. He can nurse and sleep or look around at the world while I take care of his big sister. I love babywearing, I hate to imagine what my life would be like without it.
