I love the knitting needle roll. I'm getting ready to make one for my grandma for Christmas (only we'll be calling it a crochet hook roll lol).

It would probably be best for you to hook up with a co-op doing it. I think there's a 50 yard minimum to have your own fabric laminated (don't quote me on that ). I don't think any that I'm on are doing it right now.
Sounds like baby soft loop. I've seen it co-oped before, but not recently. I did find this but I've never tried it.
