Wow Happay, two teethies!!! It sounds like my little guy is right on target with the rest of you. He cannot get enough of his fist/fingers and mine and papa's fingers. Everyday I keep looking to see if there are any buds...but he really isn't fussy because of it, he just needs something in his mouth. I've been wondering about the sling also. I have the Nojo and although ds really likes it, he is just too darn tall and heavy for the belly to belly hold...and I haven't...
oh Foo, Avery is also intent on imitating an ironing board! He LOOOVES it. In fact, he is also getting a kick out of the doorway jumper. To give you an update, Avery officially does not have a hydrocele/hernia, according to the ever so educated doctors. Deep in my heart, I knew he didn't but I guess I just needed the peace of mind by going to the professionals! It's just so funny because the doc spent less than five minutes with us, sent us on our way and I plopped...
Please send good vibes our way tomorrow. I am taking ds in to see a specialist to rule out a hydrocele. I'm a little nervous but know that everything will turn out the way it should! Oh, and another thought for good measure. I think we need a bigger bed. ds is a sprawler and we only have a full size bed. I don't feel right about putting ds in his crib yet, but man, sometimes I wake up with a killer backache or neckache due to the limited bed space! Three cheers for my...
Yes, it is such a riot that Avery is now really intent on watching me eat...and he is not doing much of the tongue thrusting any more at all! You know, he is out of his infant car seat due to his length and he still doesn't have the back/neck control for a high chair, yet we want to take him out to eat. Well, we did it tonight and he was in my lap trying to grab at the plates and silverware. It was great!! Well, it's getting pretty cold here in Michigan and I found a...

It must be another growth spurt. ds was really doing well, sleeping almost 8-10 hours per night...

I have been using fuzzi bunz and really like them but want to try some others. I have snooped around the diapering threads but feel overwhelmed. By the way, I have also started shedding!! I was wondering when it would start after reading some of the previous posts. I...
I try to just bless all of them!! I was a social worker for a medical facility for kids with developmental disabilities. I think the one thing that generates so much difference between parents is lack of knowledge and fundamental trust in medical doctors. Granted, my family participates in western medicine, but we also read up on anything and everything that the doc says before making any sort of decisions. Most moms just go with the flow and MANY lack resources. I...
I have the opposite issue...rather than the nanny thing, we have had comments like, "ds must be the mailman's baby!!" (ds is as white as me, while dh is black). Avery looks everything like me and as of late, his eye shape may look a little like papa's but they are still blue. Anyhoo...the joke was...ds can't be the mailman's baby...our mailman is black too!! I started a website for ds...check it out in my signature...baby peanut. Many blessings to all the...
It is so cool to hear about all the sweet babies and how they are developing!! Avery is officially giganti-baby!! He is just three months and weighs 18 1/2# and 27 in!! We took a trip to a couple resale shops I hadn't checked out yet to get him some pj's with feet that actually fit!! I cannot believe my breasts are keeping up with him. My lord, they were already big before I was pregnant!! Now, they are like these boulders that dh can't get enough of!! hee hee..I keep...
Almudena...I know how you feel. I am going back to work a week from today. Yeah, I know it is only two days a week, and dh is able to work from home those two days but I am still feeling bittersweet! What kind of maternity leave do you get in Spain?? I had three months, unpaid. Silly me, since it was my first and we had some things to do around the house before ds was born, I began my leave a month before the due date. Ds decided to bake for another 18 days before I...
