I'm not familiar with the k'tan and age recommendations. I used an Ellaroo with my son when he was a newborn (woven wrap). He is 13 months and we still love it.
This product sounds great. We struggled with the choice to vaccinate and I would love any way to help keep my little one in balance at vaccine time.
My favorite thing about baby wearing is that while I am snuggling and connecting with my little one he is also reaping so many developmental benefits. It's the perfect way to love my little one.
Wearing my son on my back has literally saved my back. The Ergo is comfortable and easy to use that way. I also use my woven to put him on my back. It takes more practice but it works also. I just saw a couple of Ergos at a resale shop....
My 24 pound 10 month old pulls his own arms out over the too so I figured it was okay if he could do it himself. I usually put him in with his arms in and leave it up to him.
For all ages I love my Ellaroo woven wrap. It was especially great for the early stages. We kept our DS with his legs "in" the carriers until 4-6 months per our pediatrician. The ergo with the newborn insert was hot and he outgrew it...
Hopefully Ula has protected her design. I know she has a strong local following here in San Diego and I'm sure they will spread the word.
I totally understand! I am a tired mom of a 10 month old. My DS nurses all night long. I think we are up every 30 minutes - 2 hours. At one point he stopped wanting to nurse much during the day. I finally have him nursing well during...
I am 5' 6" and I love my Ergo.  I have a couple of friends that prefer their Tula carriers.  I would check and see if you have a babywearing group in your area and maybe you can try a couple.
