So happy for you Hippy!! That's GREAT news   It must be a huge relief.   Sunni Ugh, that would really make me mad   Did your mom not know before?   Meks  Two weeks is definitely too long!  I hope your new remedies are effective and that you are feeling like yourself soon. I am also not leaking colostrum, and don't recall any leakage with DD. I never gave it much thought. Maybe a tiny bit on my bra but nothing really noticeable. Hmmm....   Vaquitita Yeah for 36...
Hi Ninabear!! I am a huge fan of chiropractic treatment in pregnancy. They key is finding the right provider. I currently see a chiro who is certified in Webster Technique (to help encourage baby into optimal position) but her specialty in general is pregnancy and newborns. Nearly all her clients are pregnant women. She spends at least 30 minutes with me each session, assessing alignment, massaging my back, stretching my back muscles and also focusing on pelvis...
I agree with all of the posters who indicated that it completely depends on your child. My DD was always a big nighttime nurser, every 1-1/12 hours (that I was awakened), all night, every night, until I nightweaned at about 2.5 years. She was very verbal at that point and understood when we talked about it for a few weeks before. I did not get any resistance really (I don't think I could have done it if I had!).  I, like several other mamas who have already posted, thought...
Hippy What did the cardio say? Fx you are released to birth where you'd prefer!! If you are in the hospital, I am sure it will be in a labor and delivery unit. The L&D I worked in was the Regional Center, meaning we saw patients from a huge geographic area and were the specialists in Maternal Fetal Medicine with a Level 4 NICU. We regularly had patients requiring specialized care, like cardiac monitoring. I do really, really hope you can avoid the hospital, as I know...
Oh Sphinxy, I SO hear you, mama! Honestly, the last few days/weeks are really hard. The waiting, the not knowing when is this going to happen? and the general physical discomforts/pains. Add to that the practice starts to labor, so confusing and frustrating! Staying peaceful and zen during this time is excrutiatingly difficult, at times just not possible. That's okay!! You are so close. Hang in there and know you are strong and powerful. You can get through this. The prize...
Congrats, Dakipode!! So happy to hear your little one is here and that you're adjusting to your new routine Enjoy these first moments, sleep when you can and accept offers of help. Sphinxy I am so glad! Looking forward to hearing about your birth! I recall a few practice labor situations Thinking of you, mama!!
I love it too Ultra! It was one of the few girl names that DH and I actually agreed on
Lots of   and    thoughts to you Sphinxy!! I had a similar experience in labor with DD and I know it's no fun. It's also confusing.  I walked, and walked, and walked, and walked and really exhausted myself. My best advice is REST!! My Hypnobirthing instructor and doula told us that if that happens to us again, conserve your energy. As much as you can, rest and don't exert tons of energy. I know everything you read indicates otherwise (and it is what I learned as an L&D...
