You know, I replied before I read the whole thread. All of these EBFIP stories have really inspired me. Since becoming a SAHM I've been inspired to get new tattoos, piercings, and I've recently dyed some of my hair bright elmo red (the kids love it!) Maybe, just maybe If I look strange enough it will make any wierdo's too afraid to to approach us! Haha!
I'm so conflitcted about this. I feel so strongly about EBF and have no problem nursing my 20mo DD in public, but I worry about later, when she gets big enough for peole to start thinking negatively about it. I don't deal well with cruelty. In fact I'm often traumatized when we get tailgated or flipped off by drivers on the road. I've decided that the first time someone is too confrontational I'll consider not BFing in public. If someone accused me of being perverted...
Thank you both so much for the replys! I've been planning on taking a trip to the health food store for a while now so I'll add these supplements to my list. Thanks again!
It's really bad. I've never really experienced anything like this before. It starts about seven days before my period. It's like a switch that flips and I feel half insane with anger. I'm literally seething for a good week or so. The only time my DH and I fight is during this week. Then just as my period starts the feelings shift to sadness. I spend a good ten days each month feeling anxious, angry, sad, puffy and tired. I even actually contemplated wasting $10 to...
I hope every thing is ok with your babe. Just to hopefully make you feel better, my DS stuttered the ends of his words for about four months or so. He just recently stopped (he'll be four in april) It was strange, I had never heard a stutter at the end of a word (like; Cat-t-t-t-t-t-t) But the more I asked other parents the more it seemed that lots of other children had also done this and eventually grown out of it. He's fine now, no stuttering.

Seriously. I've been on an anti candida diet for three months and I've already lost 50lbs. All of the info I find on the internet is so conflicting. The only consensus seems to be that wheat and other gluten containing grains are out, no sugar, refined carbs (in fact carbs in general must be kept to a bare minimum) Meat needs to be organic free range, no hormones or antibiotics of course and no beef or pork at all. No aged foods, like vinegar, soy sauce (and tofu)...
Quote: Originally posted by Nursing Mother People have a problem with that because abortion stops a beating heart and kills a life no matter what stage its in. It is a death of a life or potential life. That is why pro-lifers are so passionate about trying to keep babies alive. When you believe in God and that God creates and embodies every living human being it makes the idea of abortion nauseating and repulsive. However I do realize not everyone...
Quote: Originally posted by mamapie first, the ads do not push abortion, the advocate choice. Second, when the government stops raping women of support by 'reforming' welfare I will stop being so rabidly pro choice. One is indeed connected to the other. Quite right mamapie! Really though? What of insurance policies that pay for Viagra but not contraception? What about all of the children that are already neglected to death? What do you think...
Thank you so much for that information. If at all possible we avoid those peds like the plague! I'm going to run out to the store tonight and pick this stuff up. Poor baby, this has been bugging her for a while now....
