Hi! I'm in Nassau as well and would love to get together. I have three kids- 6, 3, and 1. My schedule is pretty hectic, but once the summer hits, I should have some more free time. It would be great to hang out with other like-minded moms! Tara
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! For making me laugh today! I am so happy to know that i am NOT the only one dealing with these crazy nights of trying to sleep and having to pee every 45 minutes, and then having to 'perform acrobatics' to get out of the lovely bed. The baby keeps moving in these huge flip-flop movements that are quite uncomfortable, and i just wish the baby would settle in one spot! And the "practice labor" contractions keep getting me all...
Leiahs, I was in the same situation as you last week, with my midwife coming for a home visit and the house being a mess. I just worked really hard to get it all together all the while probably being a crappy mom to my kids as i was trying to clean up everything. I certainly overdid it that day, but i really felt that i needed to have it semi-organized....why, i don't know, since that baby will come whenever it wants, and if my house is a mess, it won't make much of a...
So wonderful to hear the updates from everyone at this stage! It really does feel better to hear that other people are struggling to take care of their other kids at this point. I go back and forth between being super-cool relaxed Mom and then super-bitchy scary Mom. Screaming one day, hugging the next. I am trying hard to be patient as I wait for this baby, and have had an easy time so far...mostly b/c i haven't really had any heartburn this time around and I am...
I have ALSO been feeling very tearful and crying for silly reasons lately- I'm 37 weeks and feeling quite emotional as well. i feel the same way about DH. This is #3 baby for us, and i think he just doesn't have the emotional capacity to be as involved this time around. He's struggling with a bit of a career crisis- no longer wants to be in the corporate world and would rather be a photographer, so i can understand. But it's hard when i'm trying to take care of our...
PRUNES!!! I almost can't get enough of them. I also started drinking prune juice. Also, red and green grapes have been a big hit with this baby, and most of the pregnancy I couldn't eat enough Muenster cheese.
hey Lilkat, How was your due date calculated? My 'official' due date is the same as yours, 3/18. But my LMP was on a Monday, June 11th, I think....which means I am technically 40 weeks on a Monday as well...but b/c of the leapyear I think those round circle due date calculators are off...just wondering who gave you the due date... Thanks
My appetite, too, has recently diminished lately. I really don't have that 'in love with food thing' anymore as I did most of the pregnancy. And at mealtimes, I can't eat nearly as much as I had been able. I'm 36 weeks, so maybe it's b/c my stomach is so squashed now!
ahhhh, the underwear issue...i actually embrace maternity underwear since they are a little better than my 'regular' panties. lots of nights i sleep without them, just to not have to deal with the constant rolling down of the undies. such problems we have !
Oh, I am so thrilled to see others dealing with the same issues as me! I have been having a fairly great pregnancy- I think taking care of my two little boys keeps me from really concentrating on being pregnant, but i CAN'T STAND when my underwear rolls down and is SO tight on my lower ab. I'm getting really low on available outfits as well...and have to continuously do laundry, in order to get dressed. I think I may be nesting as of yesterday and finally put...
