This was my suggestion for anyone who didn't want their real name in their profile. I was the one who first brought up discomfort with total anonymity. I'm totally ok with this and would love to see you there.
lifeguard, hugs. There are such mixed feelings when you figure something out and then realize the implications.
Days 4 and 5 continued well for me. I am so happy to be exercising regularly again, and I'm down 4-5lbs. The first week or two always start out with a bang for me in terms of weight loss, though typically, it gets harder later as the rate of loss slows down.
Alexis!! Welcome back! How is your little guy doing these days?
Cristina, hi!! Nice to know we can fill the cloth diaper void.
lifeguard, yay for tall kids! I remember your DD seemed really long next to DS2 (who is also off the charts.)
LaBruja, that's so great about your mom. I'm so happy for you and your family. And I am also lol over snow elephants.
Steph, I'm sorry you're dealing with that. I've heard 3 weeks for dairy, but I have no idea...
OK, I'd been giving myself a pass while some stressful things were going on but said I would start back this week, so here we go. I am logging and limiting food intake and going for daily exercise beyond physio. My weight seems to bounce all over the place on the new scale and with milk variation, so I'm going to weigh daily. As of this morning, I have 23 lbs to lose to get to my goal.
lifeguard, there is NO reason to feel guilty. She was causing you pain while nursing. That is worth trying to fix! I hope it resolves soon. And it was so nice to meet you in person.
Hugs to all dealing with migraines.
So I'm not officially starting anything until I get through a bit of a stressful patch, but I've been reining in my snacking, and friends, I have made a shocking discovery. When I stop eating 1-2 sleeves of Arrowroot cookies per day (1 sleeve = 28 cookies), I lose weight. Surprising, I know. I'm down 3 lbs out of the 20 lbs I aim to lose.
Rosemary, I wish I could help, but I have a similar problem. We got a new scale recently and not only does it measure about 6...
LaBruja, tons and tons of vibes that your mom keeps improving.
Chelsea, J has recently been waking unhappy when he has to pee. At first I tried taking his diaper off, but that just made him more unhappy. Now I nurse him, he pees while nursing, and all is well again. If it keeps happening, though, I think I'm going to have to check for a UTI.
Steph, your MIL is so intrusive, and I'm really sorry about the stress with your DH.
baby shoes: Useful for...
lifeguard, that's so, so frustrating. Good for you for speaking up.
LaBruja, how is your mom doing now?
I am totally in awe of those of you who do special things for Valentine's Day. It was a major achievement for us to have DS1 take cards to school!
FB anonymity: I was the one who first expressed discomfort, and what I said was that I would prefer that real names are known to the group. That doesn't mean people have to register or create a profile...
