But how is it pronounced? Not that it will be much of an issue, as I won't need to say it very often... Is it Nerrish? or Noorish?
I still love Nourish. Nourish (ing) Foods? But when I told dh, he laughed and said I say it like a Canadian (which I am). No biggie, I can learn to say Nerrish like he does, I guess, instead of Noorish.

I originally thought 'Hidden Treasures', but didn't want to imply that the veggies, etc are hidden. I want my picky food-sensitive kids to know they are eating veggies, because they want to feed their bodies right. Or because it sounds pornish.... But Earthly Treasures I like. And Nourish. And maybe it wouldn't have to be 'Bakery', but 'Foods', becuase I would love to be flexible in my biz description so later I could provide custom meals/catering as...

Ok, here's my name and tagline: Core Bakery It's alimentary my dear Core because you are getting to the heart of nutritious food. The word, alimentary, is a synonym for nutritious. Well, there is a Core Fitness a block away. And I learned a new word! Except that alimentary kind of makes me think of ailing,...
I love Nourish! I am renting a commercial kitchen right now, so while I will do some nut-free items, nuts are used in the kitchen-very carefully in a contained area, though. Same for the wheat and dairy-I will have seperate bowls, pans, etc, which I think is good enough for most people to avoid reaction, but I will disclose that my items are made in a kitchen that uses wheat, etc, etc. I have a friend who is very sensitive to wheat and she would let me know if anything...
I am in the midst of starting a gluten free, dairy free bakery. My angle is that every product (well, most) will have something extra nutritious in it (like fruit, veggies-a green pea and pear waffle!-, supergrains or seeds or nuts). I was thinking something like Treasures Bakery or something....But that sounds kind of dumb-I am looking for something a little more upscale. Any ideas?
Thanks, ladies. We have talked a lot about ds's feelings, the other person's feelings (ds says he wants his little sis to feel bad:-yes he is mad at her). We are trying different ways to help him be less mad-like having his own space to go and to keep his things...We've talked about how it is okay to be mad, although it doesn't feel very good, we've talked about feelings vs. actions, we've talked about how he would feel if he was called a name, we've even done timeouts...
Thanks a bunch. I am kind of scared, but people do this (start businesses) and I know I can too. Baby steps.
I am such a newbie. I know nothing about starting or running a biz. I am starting a wholesale and retail baked goods company. I spoke to a CPA today who gave me lots to think about and more questions to get answered. This guy wants $3000-5000 to formulate a business plan. This, with some software or a template (any suggestions?) I could possibly do myself and defintately want to do so I can be organized. He also suggested getting a lawyer to help with protecting...
