My due date wasn't until Oct 13, but I woke up from a nap on the afternoon of Sep 26 (at 37 weeks 4 days) with what felt like menstrual cramps. I laid there for a little bit and had the sneaking suspicion that they were coming at regular intervals, so I downloaded a contraction timer on my phone and started counting them. They were 10 minutes apart and relatively painless. I told DH but we both shrugged it off as probably false labor. Well, within about an hour and...
My little 7-day-old cutie wasn't due until Oct 13, but she's doing great! I'm doing mostly fine. I had a second degree tear and my stitches are still really painful, and my pelvic region and lower back are kind of sore and floppy, but overall I'm good. Breastfeeding started off a bit of a challenge - she swallowed a big mouthful of amniotic fluid on the way out and her poor tummy was just full of yuck for awhile. But we've got it mostly worked out. I drove about five and a half hours at 32 and 34 weeks. DH was with me, but he doesn't drive. So I had company in the car, but I did all the driving. Anyway, it was fine. 25 weeks shouldn't be a problem if your pregnancy is going smoothly so far! Just make sure you pull over as often as you need to for stretching/peeing/snacks/alertness.
