Hi! Our co-op asked me to look into putting together a computer programming class for next year. I have a degree in Computer Science and about 6 or 7 years work experience, but I've been (very happily) out of the field for just as long. I'm not sure what would be relevent to colleges anymore. Does anyone know how programming is taught to homeschoolers? What's the standard language to teach? In the research I've been doing, it seems that general programming...
If you're not spotting and the pain doesn't get excruciatingly sharp, I'd wait it out. I had a bad cold early last week, and then later in the week had the cramping you describe (I was 5w and some days). I went to my MW to get it checked out, and she said that it was probably intestinal cramping due to either a virus or just the hormones messing with digestion. I was worried about the location of the pain, fearing ectopic, but she pointed out that it is the same...
DS started doing that or asking "what did you say" when he was 4ish. I even asked his preschool teacher if he seemed to have any trouble hearing there, and then went to have him tested by a specialist. His hearing is fine... he just picked up the habit somewhere and couldn't break it. Then DD started mimicking him... she was barely 2 and just talking, but she could say "huh" and "what" like a champ! I would just repeat myself and really hardly noticed, but it was...
Hi! I've been lurking, fearing posting and admitting myself to a DDC because of, well, superstitious tendencies, I guess. I have two children, but had my first m/c in October at 10 weeks. We tried again as soon as possible and I was thrilled to get a BFP practically right away. I have to admit though that I'm analyzing every little thing and holding back on really getting excited Quote: Originally Posted by longtallanimal I wanted to ask you...
West Chester is an ok area, but there are lots of places to the west/south of Coatesville too if you're looking for good family living. Lancaster county is just a hop to the west and there are lots of little gems (Gap, Strasburg and Blueball come to mind) and they would be a reverse commute, so really easy travel.
How close to which side of Lancaster? I have no idea if he's homebirth friendly, but I had my VBAC with Dr. Henry at The Women's Center in Jennersville.

For the sake of the stats you were looking for... #1 - c/s at 39w (no labor, but water broke and dr induced b/c of being strep +) #2 - went into labor naturally at 38w and VBAC'd 2 hours later
#1 - water broke, pitocin started about 10 hours later because contrax weren't productive (I wasn't even feeling them), spent about 15 hours on pitocin, then pushed for 2.5 hours, then c/s.... so total of 28ish hours, though I never really considered any of it "labor" #2 - back pain and mild cramping on and off for 2 days, but I had no idea that was labor either. Then nothing for 24 hours, then water broke at 8:30pm, DD born by VBAC at 10:22pm.... I say it was 2 hours...
