I believe number 6's are bad all around. I don't know the details on who owns the yo baby organics yogurt but I've been hearing that dole and a few other big brand names have been trying to buy up "organic" like smaller products. So it wouldn't suprise me if they bought something up and then cut corners .
Weleda also has products that are non toxic for kids. A decent cost place to get them if you do not have a whole foods near you is www.vitacost.com . Burt's bees is also non toxic. I'm not fond of parabens either, so I was very disappointed to learn about them in california baby even if it states on the bottle they only use it a little bit.
I credit this board and this book: Clean House Clean Planet by Karen Logan http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/067...Fencoding=UTF8 for my changing to my non toxic life chemically. Great recipes and it explains things that are toxic around your house. Sherra
costco has larger bags. Also I heard pet feed stores (not the main stream pet stores) can have them. Probably need to call around though to see.
How about a squeeze bottle or spray bottle kept in the bathroom?
Quote: They suggested that if you must use a non-organic mattress that older mattresses are better because they have off-gassed most of the fumes already. So that makes me feel a bit better. Amy, I often see in this forum (and have even said it myself in past posts..yikes) that an older mattress is better. Actually I learned something new with the links above that I posted...it is also old mattresses that contribute to sids...even more so. The...

Here is my post on a previous SLS discussion: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...9&postcount=12 I personally would NOT use SLS on my kid. There are plenty of alternatives out there. Burt's bees is a good product. I have not used it though. Currently I use Weleda for my babe. They make good nontoxic, natural products. Weleda toothgel for kids: http://www.vitacost.com/WeledaChildr...rchtext-weleda If you are searching for an adult toothpaste,...
This is another cool website: http://www.care2.com/healthyliving/ go into personal care. Enjoy!
We use dr. bronners mostly. My husband also has very sensitive skin and dr. bronner's peppermint soap works for him. For baby, we use weleda products. They make a completely non toxic baby soap bar..but so does bronners. Burt's bees is also a good natural product to use. I like burts bees but found some of their products to be overbearing smell wise and I'm really sensitive to smells sadly . I'm not sure if all their products are like this though..but their...
