I am such in a slump lately.  I feel like I am just kind of not doing anything well, from work to college to parenting.  *sigh* Please bare with me while I work through this slump! :(   Spiderpig... wow.  I read your post (I also only visit a few forums every few days and mainly stay on this thread due to lack of time).  What a jerk Mark was.  And your nanny!  Good riddance.  He is the father of your child?  Someday he'll regret what he did and realize he's missed out on...
Thanks Catholic Mama and Spiderpig.  I was going to the chiro twice a week for persistent neck and shoulder pain.  The chiro, plus the Celebrex has helped tremendously!  Definitely not normal, and probably never will be.  But at least I don't have chronic pain in my shoulder that radiates from my neck anymore.  THAT was miserable.   Kids making their own food is so awesome, isn't it?!  At some point they will clean up.  I'm still waiting on that.  My 12 year old just made...
Thanks!  Yes, the issues affect my girlies and I mostly.  It involves extended family.  It's the reason I started seeing a therapist (though now I like the therapist enough that I go just to talk about everything) but I'm also realizing now that DD2 may need to see someone again.  I have posted under a different name before about these things and received a lot of support.  Mothering.com is a good place!
I am running away to the beach.  I came back to regular life just feeling awful!  Yesterday was tough: *Woke up completely exhausted and headachy.  Couldn't drag myself up to work out. My shoulders and neck are also really tense. *Had a headache ALL FREAKIN DAY.  That's just not fair. *Realized my first midterm was 9:30am and not 12:30 like I thought.  Couldn't find my textbook to review (and was too upset Sunday night to review). *Totally bombed my midterm (I'm hoping...
I'm back!  I missed this thread and it looks like we have some new people and everyone has been very busy!   Vacation was nice.  We had two good sunny days and then a million rainy windy days.  The wind came in one night with the rain and it was seriously so windy it blew the roof off a camper near us!  Luckily our camper stayed in one piece.   But alas, with the wind and rain, we only had two days on the beach.  The rest of the time we did day trips with our friends who...
Yesterday... *Workout *Went on a field trip with DD2!!  That was fun. *Packed and tidied for our camping trip. *Took son shopping with me for junk food for camping *Hung out and read my book *Went to Target and Kmart to get camping stuff *Movie night with kids (John Carter.. it was like star wars!)   Today we're finalizing our plans and heading out the door soon!!  The dogs know we're camping and, even though they don't particularly like camping, they get all...
First off... CONGRATS spiderpig, on your engagement!  How exciting!!   And we have a Mazda 6, it's a good car, kind of sporty without being sporty and I like it a lot.  It's my husband's car.  I drive a big ole 3rd row seating SUV, which I also like a lot.  It fits the newfie and lots of kids.  heh   MariaMadly, I guess it does kind of depend on the day.  But most of my days are so routine that I think I would say I didn't do something like clean the kitchen if the day...
Oh, your chai sounds MUCH better!  The chai at Starbucks is a syrup.  :)  A dirty chai is a chai tea latte (chai syrup and milk) with a shot of espresso in it.  I thought it would be gross when I first tried it but it's pretty tasty!
I managed a Starbucks for a while before I had children.  I'm perhaps a bit biased.  :)  One, I visit Starbucks because I like their coffee (it's only a bit weaker than I make my own coffee).  I don't often drink anything at Starbuck besides plain black coffee. No cream, no sugar.  I do find many of the drinks too sweet but that's not a Starbucks problem.. that's because I don't like milk and sugar in my coffee.  I do like the venue because I can get a cup of coffee and...
Congrats on the purchase of your first car, Spiderpig!  And may I ask where you got your user name?   Yesterday was okay.   *Did not work out *Walked nonobadbordercollie with son *Studied and took WAY too long to nicely word a potentially controversial discussion board posting for school.  I hate when they ask questions that can end in debate because, online, there is no nonverbal communication.  And my opinion almost always seems to be in the minority. *Ate lunch...
